Maverick Helicopter's Molokai Voyage: Two-Island Helicopter Experience over Maui and Molokai
This special combo helicopter tour of Molokai and Maui takes guests on a memorable flight across the sea and over
the fantastic shorelines that define these islands as paradise. This approximately one-hour flight starts off at
Kahului Heliport on the Friendly Isle. Within minutes, your Maverick helicopter pilot will be navigating near
spectacular sea cliffs dotted by dazzling waterfalls. The first part of the voyage includes an up-close-and-personal
look at Kahiwa Falls, featuring six tiered drops that send water cascading an astonishing 2,000 feet into the sea.
This is the tallest Hawaiian waterfall, and due to it being on the remote island of Molokai, it is only seen by
the most extreme of hikers or a Maui helicopter tour.
Following Kahiwa Falls, soar across Halaway Valley and the vast Molokai fish ponds that fed Hawaiians for nearly
a thousand years. Then, it's across the Pailolo Channel and back over to Maui. During this portion of the tour,
passengers are afforded unique aerial views of some of the most scenic waters, including the uniquely shaped
Elephant Rock. From here, it's only a few minutes to the west end of Maui where you will see Honokohau Falls,
distant views of the dormant volcano Haleakala and more intimate views of the West Maui Mountains, including
a possible glimpse (depending upon weather conditions) of the Wall of Tears, a cluster of 17 waterfalls that
plunge together down Maui cliffs and the island's green velvet landscape.
